WINNER! Young Business Person of the Year
Fantastic recognition for Claire O'Connor and babyballet
Claire O'Connor, Managing Director of babyballet is delighted to have been awarded the Young Business Person of the Year Award at the prestigious awards ceremony, which was held at Berties Banqueting Suite in Halifax on Thursday 15th November 2007. According to the Halifax Courier, this particular category was the toughest to judge due to the exceptionally high standard of nominees. Young entrepeneurs from across Calderdale battled it out and it was the unique brand and franchise potential of Claire O'Connor's business that impressed the judges. According to Claire, the Award is not only an overwhelming personal achievement but also fantastic recognition for babyballet. Claire proudly says, "I am absolutely delighted to win. On a personal level, it refelects the hard work, time and effort I have dedicated to babyballet. On a business level, it gives the company such a positive boost as it launches into the national and international franchise market."
BABYBALLET - song and dance for children - was the brainchild of Claire O'Connor and has been so successful it is now being franchised across Britain. The judges were attracted to the Halifax town-centre company's vocational zeal to promote a healthy lifestyle for children by offering a social activity. Franchisees are guaranteed support, training and a cut of merchandise revenue as they take the brand across the UK from Calderdale. To ensure longevity Mrs O'Connor has added complementary products including birthday parties.
